Le
Musée International d'Art Naïf Anatole Jakovsky, inauguré
en 1982, grâce à la prestigieuse donation d'Anatole et Renée
Jakovsky, réunit aujourd'hui un panorama unique au monde de l'histoire
de la peinture naïve du XVIIIème à nos jours.
Ce musée a été installé dans l'ancienne résidence
du parfumeur François COTY, le Château Sainte Hélène,
entouré d'un grand parc aux essences les plus rares. Voici un cadre
intime et familier pour accueillir un art spontané, individuel
qui privilégie la vision intérieure du peintre, invitant
le visiteur à un voyage imaginaire.
Peintures, sculptures, dessins, affiches, retracent l'évolution
de cet art à travers les oeuvres des peintres les plus célèbres
: Bauchant, Bombois, Vivin, Séraphine, Rimbert, Lefranc, Rabuzin,
Ivan et Josip Généralic, Lackovic, Grandma Moses, O'Brady,
Haddelsey, Ligabue, Vivancos, ....
Un dépôt du musée national d'Art moderne, Centre Georges
Pompidou enrichit encore cet ensemble avec des oeuvres de Bombois, Bauchant,
Vivin, Séraphine, Bimbert ...

of an exhibit illustrating that concept. This unique collection of paintings
allows us to explore many of the countries of Latin America, Spain and
Haiti.
Il cortile è contornato su due lati da un chiostro, caratterizzato da due preziosi porticati interni scanditi da colonne a sezione ottagonale. Di insigne rilevanza sono da considerarsi gli affreschi sulle superfici parietali dei porticati. Mostrano brani finemente decorati che riproducono gli stemmi delle famiglie gentilizie del luogo quali benefattrici del Convento nel quale hanno voluto collocare la tomba di famiglia.
